Perhaps in Free Form

Wow, John. Did you write this? I didn't know you composed. Now I can see why you like Shostakovich. But I heard a bit of L. Bernstein and G. Gershwin in there too. Interesting piece but a little scary too. What do you think of when you play this?

I can't say I understand it or could analyze it - but I can say that after listening to it a couple of times & just taking it in I kinda liked it. There's a little motif that seems to work its way through & get turned around a few times which I found interesting. If I were qualified to say so, then I'd say it reminded me of Ives. (But I'm not, so don't pay any attention to that last comment).

Oh my God that is a good composition! So modern but not so off center that it is painful to listen to. A lot of modern music I hear is too far off to the point where it sounds like noise but this piece was ver well held to gether and had a memerable element that sticks to the ears.

I love your tone colors and your use of disonance. Really affective and not overdone.

I also love the title. Perhaps. Sounds a bit uncertain and this piece had a bit of uncertainty about it as if the artist feals unsettled about an idea or something of the like.
