Post subject: The site of complete mozart
PostPosted: Tue Nov 21, 2006 9:34 am
Dear Greetings to the Piano Spciety People:
In the recent months, I had found a site called "mozart Tower" says that they had all the works of Mozart and its free to download. I looked thruogh the piano part, and I think it's an ok site to go fetch mozart's piano music. The following link is down here:

http://www.mozart-weltweit.de/mozart00.htm

PS
Some Titles are sometimes hard to read or know :!:
The early mozart works are all in harpischord :!:
Have a nice try

You're right, Dr. rachmaninoff. It's very slow and I do not have the patience.
(don't get mad, just more teasing.)

Yikes, As I am writing this, I had a harpsichord piece loading from the Mozart site. Since it was taking so long, I forgot about it. Also forgot that my speakers were up loud. I just had a heart attack because the piece finally loaded and scared the daylights out of me.

This one is probably old news, but I (as usual lagging way behind with news) just heard this on the radio. All Mozart scores are now officiaaly and freely available in digital format, in the excellent Baerenreiter edition, at

http://dme.mozarteum.at

It's extremely popular right now so you may have some trouble getting in .....

I'm lagging behind you--It's news to me too. Thanks for the info.

I had no trouble logging on, but can't get any scores to open.

I believe these were ripped from the collection of Mozart's complete works 170 CD Box set. I myself downloaded a score of these recordings from this website. For me it is hard to tell who is performing on instrumental works because I am not an instrumentalist and therefore don't have that sort of ear. But as a singer I can tell who is performing on the vocal works. I came to find out that his operas that were featured on the site are the same ones in this box set. So, although it is just my guess, I believe you can count on it that these are all performed by a wide variety of artists, well known ones as well as not-so-known ones, most of which you can find out from this link.

http://www.amazon.com/Wolfgang-Amadeus- ... 059&sr=8-1

Just scroll down to one of those looong reviews and you can see the reviewer's personal selections and the performers listed. I myself enjoyed all the recordings that I got so far. Mostly real good performances. Only thing about them is that they are not live recordings. I tend to prefer live performances like most musicians do. But, hey, this website is a great source for anyone who really loves Mozart and/or wants to discover and study his vast variety of musical masterpieces. Even though I am a die-hard Mozart junkie, I discovered so many of his great music that you can't see performed that often.

I didn't have patients to wait for the site to open. I'll try another time.

PS-Chris, I'm not a doctor either.
