A prize goes to anyone who can name all the composers currently showing on the banner. :)

A few minutes' investigation shows that the pictures on the banner are not necessarily the same pictures that appear on the composers' pages.

BTW: Why is Frescobaldi's biography in Latin??

From left to right:

1 - Domenico Scarlatti
2 - Franz Schubert
3 - Sergei Rachmaninov
4 - Samuel Barber
5 - Cesar Cui
6 - Francis Poulenc
7 - Witold Lutoslawski

The rightmost one is Pancho Vladigerov.
Now for the bonus question: which one does not belong in this list.

All correct, except for no. 7 - which Chris correctly identified.

But Lutoslawski was a good guess! I just looked him up on our main site and he looks a lot like Vladigerov.!!

They all belong on this list because I'm currently practicing music by each composer. But ok, I'll guess that Cui doesn't belong because he's the only one with a beard????

It was Cui, only because I did not know he was one of "your" composers now.

Ah. Vladigerov looks like Vladigerov more than Lutoslawski looks like Vladigerov.

But no one has yet answered my other question, which is: Why is Frescobaldi's biography in Latin? And has anyone proofread it?

I have not heard of Cui until recently when I heard some of his Preludes on the radio and then printed out the whole set. I doubt I will learn all of them. I really just want to learn (for now) nos. 2, 9, and 16.

Sorry, Stu, I meant to answer this before but forgot. Honestly, I can't remember why that Latin is up there. And it's really just Latin gibberish - according to Google translate. I think it originally had to do with testing the scripts, or something like that. Anyway, it's silly having it there, so I've deleted it.
