One of my facebook friends just posted an article from NPR, titled:
"How Do We Fix Classical Music?"
This seems to assume that Classical Music is "broken." Is it broken, or is it that people don't appreciate it enough?
There were many replies. Some commented on whether the reason ppl aren't buying tickets to see symphonies play is because the sorry state of the economy, others pointed to the fact that ppl are too busy listening to 3 minute pop songs and that these same ppl don't have enough music education that would allow them to like art music.
