This is the BWV 553.

Many thanks for your feedback-

There are glaring missed notes due to performance anxiety but please overlook those to comment on the whole work, I appreciate it!

Interesting to get an organ piece in the WIP forum ! There are not so many organists here :)
These so-called Little Preludes and Fugues are trickier than they sound. I had to work on this one pretty hard before I recorded it back in 2011. You do
a reasonable job in the Prelude - there are a great many flubs but overall it is not bad, except that your tempo rather fluctuates. That is absolutely a
no-no in Bach organ music, IMHO. Little agogics are welcome but the pulse should be rock solid.
The Fugue - well, hmmmm... best I could say that it's not ready yet :) You are audibly groping for every note and it was hard to try and discover the
theme. You need to practice this real slowly, as slow as needed in order to sustain the tempo without getting totally lost.

Thank you!
I did in fact listen to your recording of BWV 553, from the posting on this site a while back, which I discovered when googling the piece and which inspired me to ask others' advice on this site.
I use your recording as inspiration and a standard I really wish to ultimately achieve so it is an honor to have you listen to my beginning attempt at the work.

I think I will commence study of the prelude with the metronome ticking again which I unwisely abandoned in an earlier stage ;)

What do you think of my tempo? I'm wondering if I should try to speed it up.

Yes you should aim to speed it up eventually. Especially in the Prelude your tempo is too staid for such a cheerful Vivaldi-like piece. But don't run before you can walk !
The fugue, which seems to end prematurely, is too much a jumble of tempi to give any advice. It's a festive piece and, with all the repeated notes, should definitely be played very lively.
How long are you playing ? Are you taking lessons ? I recommend against leaning the organ without some proper guidance, at least in the beginning.
