Just out of curiosity following the op.10 no.2 thread, I dug out my old student recording of the first movement from a decade ago, expecting it to be dreadful, and it's really not that bad. (Sorry, no second and third movements, it's a student recital and I was allotted very little time, also hence no repeats). Some rushes and murky left hand work, but I was pleasantly surprised. This isn't meant as a submission, but I thought you might find it interesting (plus you probably want to hear me playing something of actual repute for a change ). We have different ideas about the music, I think, but that's one of the many reasons why music-making can be so much fun.

Not half bad indeed ! A bit rushed overall, and amusingly you botch that RH trill the second time (whereas I botched the first).
I always suspected you could play serious music as well

If you feel a burning need to put it up, go ahead; it's your site. I only really posted it out of curiosity though and don't really consider it representative of me and my musical interests. I would prefer you to consider the other submission I'm about to upload.

No burning need whatsoever. Nothing needs to go up unless the pianists wants it.

This is much more similar to my view of this movement, with a clear projection of purpose, full of adrenaline and well shaped phrases.

Thanks, but too much adrenalin at bars 27 and 73! I don't know what happened around bar 48; I just wouldn't do that nowadays (I hope). I think there is a consistent fault throughout in the sense that the opening two-chord motif lacks staccato on the second chord, but in a lot of ways I quite like the recording musically and think it has the young Beethovenian joie de vivre and spirit to it.
