Thank you Monica, and thank you everybody for your kind comments. Re the piano sound, it may be something in the postprocessing or my recording setup--I'll keep experimenting, but since the consensus is that it works well for the music, I'll leave this one as it is.
Scott, I'm not sure I should say that
every note was perfectly under control

but the more I study Scarlatti, the more he seems to reward attention to detail. You do have to pay attention to every note, particularly on the piano and particularly since there are no phrasing marks to help you. In this piece, the parts with the syncopation over the lh minim accompaniment needed a fair bit of phrasing work so the lh didn't sound bangy and dull, so I'm glad it came off OK.
