Rats, completely forgot the old man's birthday
On top of that I'm working on a Handel suite presently, and in fact did not play any Bach yesterday.
I hope he won't be too peeved

I forgot Chopin's birthday. The night before a master class I emailed the organizing professor and begged her to let me play Chopin instead of Beethoven. I sort of put her on the spot, saying I wouldn't be able to make it through the Beethoven (which was true), so she didn't want to be embarrassed (and she probably had to reprint programs). And then I showed up to the class and the clinician mentioned it was Chopin's birthday, and he said a page he follows on Facebook had posted videos for 25/11 and 9/1 that morning - the two Chopin pieces on the program for the master class (another girl played Beethoven).

I'm supposed to play Chopin again tomorrow morning for another master class. Maybe I should email and change it to Bach this time.

A good idea! I'll celebrate with some P&F's. Should give a nice balance to the Prokofiev I just listened to.

If my math serves me correctly, the good master is just 326 years old, right?
