Hello again,

Here is a recording from my Senior recital that I found that I think went over well...would like to audition this one for the site. Again, constructive comments would be appreciated! In case the sound quality isn't good, I converted this file from a .wma to an .mp3 ...

Thanks much!

Vcp

Debussy - Estampes - 2: La Soiree Dans Grenade (4:11)

Hi John,
I like your performance; is has a nice warm-evening sultry mood to it.

A good performance, with many nice things in it, and also one or two things that could have been done better/differently. You particularly well handle these tricky triplet chords against the habanera rhythm, good job. Was there a phone ringing at 3:11 ? You seem a bit out of balance there for a moment. For more detailed comments I'd have to re-listen with score.

Funny coincidence, I was just playing this one the other day, after not having seen it for years. A great set, the Estampes. Must record it one fine day :!:
BTW- It's based in Granada, not Granados :P

I wrote this because the ID3 tag said "Evening in Granados"

Yeah-I just realized that I renamed it wrong when I found it...and always thought it was "Granados"!!? Didn't know I was referring to a composer and not a place!? Sorry about that!!

And I'm not hearing the phone ringing that you're talking about...maybe the chord in the RH sounds like it...??

To Eddy-thanks for the compliment...I'm glad you liked my rendition! :)

And so, I'd like to know if this performance is good enough to be added to Debussy's the Estampes section on the site...as I know there are already two there... :?:
