What do you mean by not being a pianist? This is a really good performance of this demanding masterwork.

Technically, a very impressing performance. The grand seems a bit out of tune in the treble. In some of the heavy tutti passages your powerful bass drowns out the RH. Perhaps it could be good to apply a bass filter.

The brilliant passages are done with great power and sweep. It is in the transitory sections that I feel a bit let down. For example after the splendid introduction, at 1:11, the tension suddenly sags, and at 1:20 and 1:40 things get a bit choppy. The staccato notes at 2:20 sound rather out of place to me, almost caricatural. At 3:20 I feel unconvinced by the matter-of-fact recapitulation of the theme, as if you lost inspiration. More could have been made of this.

But all these are personal observations. By any standard, this is a very good recording (though I hope next time you have the Yamaha tuned for a studio recording  )

If you wish to be added as a pianist on our site with this, and the other two Liszts, just let me know. I will need some biographical information, and if you have it, a photo.

Whether you like it or not, you are a pianist; it's time to put aside the modesty.

I dnt know you. And I have never herard this before. Liszt....very nice. I am going to get this music and cut out some sections only do my favourite bits. Eg--the beginning with the rh melody....well played. I admit you how you gain enough to play the fff section on your piano(Is that your grand... :? ha aaaaa.

How long did it take you to play from memeory and how many pages are there?
