Hi Guys , I have finishend 70% of my amateur recordings at home. I was wondering how can I upload the file to you so you can have a listen and make a worst critique on it.

So far its in wav file, should that work with you or I should Zip it for you or do it in mp3 file???

WAV will work but a wav file is about 10 times as large as a compress mp3 file. There are a lot free tools to compress to mp3 as for example Audacity. The maxiumu allowed size for an attachment is 250 MB.

In addition to Robert's explanation, the short answer is : yes you should submit mp3 format only.

Johnmar78, my son went online and downloaded the first site he came to under the category "Converting wav to mp3" It's free and fast. Then you can submit the mp3 recording.

okkkkkkk. Thanks Paino Lady.
I am using midi disc and convert to mp3 no worries(just found it the sonic sonic software). But have to learn to upload my music files to one of the sites and can refer to you guys to listen.

I had a quick play back on my recordings last nigt, the sound quality(16 bits) is quite good as compared to my grand.

Meanwhile, I am working on it ---to upload....

i'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but www.savefile.com is an easy way to upload and share files.

thanks pal.

Tell me if i am doing it right.
1) midi disc to convert to mp3 files and burned on cd. Go to the site and upload from CD????
Later, post a topic in "audition room" with an attachement or site address to my music in mp3 files.

Is that right??? I have to try that on the weekend...

No need to burn the mp3 files on cd in order to upload to PianoSociety. Simply convert to mp3, store it on the hard disc of your PC, and sent it to the audition room as attachment.

I would only burn a CD as Audio-CD with wav format 44khz/16bit (the normal audio format) in order to listen to in a normal stereo equipment.
