After some discussion, and listening to the user feedback, Robert and I decided to change the forum theme. This one called, subOracle, may be
a bit boring, but we like it best of all the available themes. It is certainly better than the previous(Raid). In fact it is much like the old forum style, but looks just a bit more modern.

The logo image is a bit boring too. If one of you can come up with something better, fine !

Any comments, or problems with the new style, let us know !

The Download Statistics does not work properly right now. I'm working on it.

The attachment (if it works at all) is just for testing purposes.

Better than that other set-up. This new version makes for a clear sailing....now only if the Titanic could have it this easy

I'm just glad the site is back up. I thought it was my computer.

Is it just me or does the "New recordings" link not work?

p.s. I like the new header, but I fear that whoever made it is ignoring the "grandfathers" (i.e. Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, and others). Just look every person is after 1800 and two of them the late 1800s. This is just like having a banner of the automobile and just sticking to new cars and leaving out the first horseless carriage. :?

It does not work, nor does the 'Statistics' link. I'm working on fixing it. No panic, we have no new recordings anyway (as you have not been forthcoming yet....)

I created it today. Made a choice of 2 composers and one pianist. I thought Chopin and Rachmaninov were two of the most 'pianistic' composers. But whatever we choose, there will be disagreement. No doubt someone would rather have Horowitz or Argerich instead of Rubinstein. But I think I'll leave it like this unless Robert has different ideas.

I fixed the New and Stats pages. If anybody finds a wrong link (which could well happen) please let me know.

And let's not have endless discussions on my choice of pictures and what everybody else would choose. I think it looks good now and I'm not going to change it anytime soon. It cost me most of this weekend already.

For me it looks good now, and I like the forum style (what we had in former times) more than the new style what was introduced here, one has a better overview.

Thank you much for taking time to work on this site!!!

Had quite some work to do on the Statistics pages but I think they're are all ok now. There's a handful of pianists where the link does not work because they do not have a page on the site. This is intentional.

Ohhhh, you’re no fun! Kidding, kidding, kidding. I guess you don’t like my jokes.

Seriously though, I’m sure it does take a lot of time keeping the site functioning properly and I’m sure it is much appreciated by everyone here. You are like a father trying to keep his ‘kids’ under control, and since you are one of the ‘keeper of the keys’ so to speak, we (I) will try to respect your wishes and not talk about anything but piano music. (but I can’t promise no more jokes!)

Thank you for your time and work.

Me, no fun  And I make fun of everybody !

Nah seriously, do keep the jokes coming in lest it gets boring here. Just ignore me being grumpy. And don't feel as if you can only talk about piano here. We shoud not talk about music too much, it's real boring

Lastly, remember it's Robert who works hardest for this site and forum, not me. There is a lot of invisible work involved which you people never get to see.

Increased the message area on the post/reply page, and added an extra pair
of Preview/Submit buttons directly underneath the text so that you don't have to scroll down.

I did not succeed in sorting out the 'quote' problem though....
