Post subject: Help me plz, about ATCL

I need to write programming notes for the ATCL exam. How do I start?? Do u have any useful websites or books recommended?? Most of the websites describe the life and the general style of the composer, but do not actually go deep into a particular piece of music. Can u tell me ur experience of writing programming notes? What should I do first?

Here's my programme:

1. J.S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue in D minor BWV851

2. Mozart: Sonata in C K309/284b

3. Frederic Chopin: Fantaisie - impromtu in C# minor Op.66

4. Benjamin Britten: Sonatina Romantica 'Moderato and Nocturne'

Someone asked a similar question in the "Repertoire" category threads.

If you scroll down you'll see various suggestions like wikipedia and google. You'll also see my post about going to Naxos.com where you can read the CD pamphlets on countless composers and works.
