I was today looking up a girl, Tatiana Sokolova, who played a recital at the school where I work (she was there as a student) and for which I provided the scores. She gave quite passable performances of Rachmaninov, Chopin and other composers on an out-of-tune Bachmann upright. I did not find her, but I came up with a certain Anastasia Sokolova:

Does anyone know if this one is related to Sokolov and if he has other children or grandchildren who are pianists?

I also tried to convince Tatiana to play Bortkiewicz, even giving her a copy of some of his preludes (apparently copy of the only copy in existense, the score being out of print.

Thank you all for your concise and clear answers! :D

Jokes apart, I managed to contact Tatiana, who works as an accompanist and who says she is no relative of the other Sokolovs.

You're welcome! :)

Sorry to be of no help. Got anything else? I'm so bored and restless today... need a project.

I am trying to convice Tatiana to join PS. She is quite good. And yes, she has played Bortkiewicz's preludes op 40, the copy I gave her.
