Please go to the following:

http://www.cmireb.be/video/vod-session.php

And then select one of the various performances of Anna Vinnitskaya.

I especialy recommend her performance of Prokoviev's second concerto in the finals (on day 9). If ever i heard real music!!

Its a video on demand with great video and sound quality. Enjoy, as long as it is on line!!!

Greetings from Peter Schuttevaar

That reminds me. One of the applicants of this year's concours was Daniel Wnukowsky who used to have a pianist page here on PS, but it had to go because his management objected to his recordings being free. It seems like he did not make to the first round.

I'll check that link, as I vividly remember Abdel Rahman-El-Bacha winning this same concours, many moons ago, with this same mammoth concerto. He was sweating like a pig and delivered a stunning performance of it.

Hi Chris,

Well, Anna Vinnitskaya realy makes music out of this dragonpiece of Prokoviev. Without the sweat of the pig. A stunning performance indeed.

I found that there was a lot of talent amongst the candidates. There is no shame for Daniel Wnukowsky in not having reached the end stages of that competition.

And there is a huge load of quality videos on all these magnificent candidates on that site. Hours and hours of pianoplaying on your screen. What could one wish for better?

Greetings from Peter
