technicly I think he's very good. His hands are high above the piano before he press a tone. You need much experiance before you can do that!!!! I like him :D I got al the pianoconcertos of beethoven played by him soo good

like brautigam. But brautigam play's it very light and quicker. Much quicker as gilels. I went to his concerto's of beethoven and had a meet and greet with brautigam!!!

I like him too very much, have all Beethoven concerts with Gilels on old vinyls. Still listen to them (after I transferred it to CD). The teacher of Gilels and Richter, Heinrich Neuhaus, wrote in his famous book "the art of piano playing", that he never had heard someone with more "noble metal" in his piano voice.
As child I have seen him playing a piano concerto in Weimar/Germany, and got an autograph (somewhere lost), but no certain reminisces about that.

I had the 5 concerto's of beethoven played by gilels. My computer crashed so I lost them but his playing of beethoven was awsom.

BTW, Richter clamed that Gilels was killed by his docter is that true?

Well I just checked what Wikipedia has to say about Gilels and they do mention that. Its says he died after a routine medical check-up and that Richter did in fact claim that the docter had accidentally killed him. I wonder what the specific circumstances of his death were.
