In case the site admins were wondering who this new user was lurking though the site... I thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself, and to thank you all...

I've just started taking piano lessons again after not having touched a piano in about 10 years and even back then I did not study long. Being older in my years now, I was worried it was a bit silly for me to start again virtually from scratch. However, after listening to some of the wonderful recordings - I'm truly inspired by the playing! My studies are all classical music - perhaps in another 10 years I'll be able to record something nice, but until then I hope you don't mind me just listening, and benefiting from some of the technical advice

So thank you for providing such a great forum, and thanks to all the musicians who share their music and expertise!

One of the very reason for starting PianoSociety was the total lack of friends with classical music interested on my side. Internet is large enough to include the scope of like minded people and almost three years later, here we are .
