Hi everyone,

My curiosity has come a again. How come I dnt hear any musicians from Africa or middle east and Arabs??

Can anyone make sugestions?

I believe under Islamic belief self promotion is looked down upon. That's why you do not see any Muslim politicians in a secular government.

But don't quote me on that.

An acquaintance of mine, Dr. William Chapman-Nyaho is from Ghana and has a fantastic CD entitled "Senku." Dr. Nyaho is, in every sense, an astounding pianist. I don't know him intimately, but the few brief conversations I had with him yielded a charachter defined by honesty, humility and a profound musical worth.

Ok, Sorry, I mean to play classical music influenced by western culture.

Does he play the claasical music??? whats Senku...?
