Good evening. I hope all is well with all of you. I have a general question regarding Piano Society's database of music. How many of the pianists are professionals? How does that work with them submitting recordings since that recordings submitted to PS are then underneath the right of this site? It seems to me that only a few pianists consistantly give submissions. I mean, how many professionals continually submit to the database?
We've never counted them, or even made an effort to clearly distinguish betweeen professional and non-professional pianists. It is true that the real professionals do not submit regularly, if at all. They have bigger fish to fry. Our regular contributors are mostly the amateurs (except arensky).
Is there a chance that PS could bag a "big time" pianist? Or does the juuf need to fill that spot
As Argerich and Kissin declined, indeed our hopes are now on you
Get practicing !
I hope I made sense because right now I am trying to do my homework, but somehow this place has a giant magnet which pulls me in everytime I am at this computer
Yes, that is what we're here for
I should be working instead of posting in office time...
