Ok, it is probably staring me in the face as I type this, but how do you get back to your bookmarks once you have bookmarked a topic??

Look through the various menu items until you find one called Bookmarks or Favorites. It depends rather on the browser where that menu item is located.
I find it convenient to put much often sites in the Bookmarks bar so I just have to click the icon.

Chris, I'm not talking about those bookmarks/favorites.

On this site, when you are in a topic, at the top left, above "Author" is a series "Subscribe to topic | Bookmark topic | Print View | E-mail Friend" These don't go into my web browser favorites, it is a PS web-site thing. That's what I'm trying to find. I can bookmark them, but I can't find anything that says something on the order of "View Bookmarked Topics" similar to the "View unread posts" etc.

You have to go to User Control Panel > Manage bookmarks (left nav).
