How do you quote a forum member's words to add to your own post. I can't figure out how to use that Quote tab; it puts the word "quote" in the wrong place.

I noticed there is something wrong with the quote thing, but this works:

Quote:
The quote works like this usually, but not as below.

[quote='lol_nl']This often doesn't work, why?[quote]

If you put the name of the person between brackets, it often doesn't work, but if you don't, it works.

Thank you, lol_nl. I still can't figure it out, but that's okay.

Rather than making a reply to a topic, you can press the little cloud with the " inside it at the end of someones post. That will quote all of that specific post.

If you want to code the quote yourself, you should do this:
Code:
[quote="pianolady"]Thank you, lol_nl.  I still can't figure it out, but that's okay.[/quote]

In the post, the result will be as my initial quote of your post.

Now experiment in this post!

I too noticed that the named quote does not work as in the old forum. Only the unnamed quote works. Doesn't matter whether you use the quote balloon or a normal reply and then the quote button. Not sure why it works for Robert but not for us...

Ohhhhh. I never really noticed those little clouds and tiny heads down there. And they work! Thank you for your help. Maybe someday, I'll figure out to use the smiley faces.
