Post subject: VESA (LCD) brackets for piano?
PostPosted: Wed May 30, 2007 8:41 pm
Currently I play a stage piano (Korg SP-102), but I'm loooking to buy an actual piano in a few months, however when I am playing my SP, I have two trinitron monitors in front of it, so I can read sheet music without having to print it (and also for doing recording, but that's another story).

When I get an upright piano (I don't have the room or the money for a grand), I want to do something similar, obviously 21" CRT's are going to be much too big to use on a piano  . but I would like to have 2 or more LCD's in front of me instead of paper sheet music.

I did a google search for piano vesa mounts, but all I could turn up was piano-finish :( vesa mounts. So I ask, is there any piano's with built-in vesa mounts or lcd's or some kind of adjustable stand you can buy that will hold LCD's in front of a piano conveniently? I'm really not keen on drilling or gluing brackets to a piano, and am worried that if I just stand the screen's on the sheet holder*, they will fall down and damage the piano.

Alternatively, has anyone home-brewed something like this?

*I can't stand the piano's with a fold-out book-stand which only holds 2 pages, I really prefer the ones which have just a ridge across the entire piano where you can extend an entire piece.
