Opera - Libretto

Postby Anonymous » Tue Apr 24, 2007 6:49 pm

I have started progress on my very own opera. It is a romantic tragedy and is to be sung in French. I already have written the main story of the opera, and I have begun work on the overture. My problem is this, I need a libretto. No matter how I try, I can't seem to create a decent libretto to set music to. So, I was wondering, are there any professional libretto writing businesses around that could write one for me based upon the stroy, OR am I just doomed, and forced to write my own?

Madam, what makes you think that I play with my hands?

Good idea... I had the same problem. Now I'm thinking about writing something monumental - the second Piano Concerto, including 7 movements (about 90 minutes), with huge orchestra and choir - sounds good
