Jake Briggs Plays Chopin

Postby JakeBriggs » Tue Apr 16, 2013 4:17 pm

I joined piano society a month or two ago and have been a long time fan of the site. I think this site combined with youtube/imslp/facebook/and craigslist are amazing tools for education and for helping pianists perform and promote their material. It seems like rock guitarists, classical guitarists, organists, and even choir directors all have their specialized web-powerhouses, and this is one of the piano ones. I remember watching this video here once called Ramblings with an older dude who put up content that was longer (like 2 or 3 hours) and had pictures of nature and I'd like to submit the video from my recent concert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsUViB5ckNM. I'm not sure if I can upload the mp4, I don't know if you can embed it better. It's not perfect in every spot, but it's the kind of content that I want to see more of.

Hello Jake, and welcome to Piano Society. :)

We do not host videos anymore. Links to Youtube are acceptable, but in general we prefer them to be submitted in one of the other forums, as the Audition Room is only for auditioning to become a member/pianist on our site. Don't worry, that you put this here is fine this time. I watched a little of your video and you play pretty well!

Btw - the 'older dude' you mentioned is Raymond Smullyan. He'll be glad to know you liked his video.
