Here is Debussy's "The Interrupted Serenade", an instance of the proverb French composers write the best Spanish piano music ;-) I'm surprised there isn't already a version of this on the site. I'm aware that some of the repeated notes aren't as clear as I would wish for. (It's from a recording of a concert; I don't have the opportunity to do a second take on such a good piano in the near future.) Any other feedback will be gratefully received. Enjoy!

Alexander, this was beautifully interpreted and executed. I love the character that Debussy and you made with it. (What a fabulous French day it is today!) I was very aware of the truth about the French writing the best "Spanish" music, but never knew it was a "proverb."

But it' just on a trivial degree. I enjoyed this performance very much! You caught the right mood of this piece. Bravo!

A wonderful recording ! I can understand you're not optimally satisfied with the repeated notes, they are just a tad sluggish. I've always found this piece very hard to bring off, repeated notes not being my forte. You certainly caught the Spanish spirit.
