From "Fantasiestücke Op. 12". Not a completely spotless live recoding, but I think I managed to get the spirit of it across.

The instrument you hear is a Schimmel K 230 concert grand.

Any comments will be appreciated and I would be honoured if the recording found its way on the website.

Hi Daniel,

I really enjoyed your thoughtful rendition of "In der Nacht". You bring much urgency and also a beautiful lyricism to this music, and you certainly capture its essence which makes it so convincing. Wonderful playing!

Thank you, David, for your reply.

It is one of my favourite Schumann compositions and I really enjoy playing it.

Cheers

Daniel

Fantastic Schumann playing, Daniel ! You say it's not completely spotless, but whatever spots there may be, they are infinitesimal and irrelevant.. You catch the spirit most admirably. A great job of near-professional quality. I will put this on the site tonight.

Thanks, Chris.

I really love this piece - it's so Schumann. Florestan and Eusebius in the same nightmare :)

Cheers

Daniel

PS: I saw that there is no link in my profile to the Beethoven sonatas. Could you fix that?

Ok, this found its way onto the site. Nice these self-installing recordings :D
And I added the Beethoven link.

Just noticed on my profile it says "Fantasiestücke op. 73" but it's from op. 12.

Cheers

A right... an autocompletion mistake.
Which goes to prove: always double-check our work
It's corrected.

Sorry, my bad. But I did say it wasn't entirely spotless :D
