Here's one of the two chorales I had yet to do to complete the German Organ Mass. This is a difficult piece in its own right, and to make it worse I have to play this on one manual instead of two, so as not to disturb the pedal part. A bleak choice... have to juggle some near-impossible hand crossings and weavings here, so please excuse the occasional tiny fluff.

Nice acrobatics with the hand crossovers! How come you had only one manual?... In any case, it didn't take away from the greatness of the music. Indeed a very enjoyable performance, especially after a long days work at the office!

No, I have two manuals. But one needs to be coupled to the pedal, because that has only subbass 16 of its own, and you most always need support from one of the manual couplers. This sometimes leads to overlapping notes which can often be accepted as a necessary evil, but in this case it would render useless some of the crucial pedal notes and this was unacceptable. In a chorale like this the pedal part is all-important, more so than all the doodlings of the hands.
