Hello everybody

My name is Linda, I am 15 years old and I have been taking piano lessons since January this year. Before that, I taught myself to play the keyboard. I'm attaching my recording of Schumann's "Kleine Studie". I hope you like it.

Hi Linda - I enjoyed listening to your performance. You have a nice tone, and the piece was very musically played.

My mother started piano in her teens and she became an accomplished pianist and piano teacher.

So nice!

And I agree with Chris: the audio quality is excellent. It sounds so natural! Is it a grand or an upright ? It's more difficult to get a good recording from an upright piano.

Yes really very nicely played! I even thought surprisingly musical, tasteful and even sophisticated considering you have only been playing for a few months. I am a big believer in playing simply and musically like this

Linda gave me permission to reply to her behalf (she's my pupil and I helped her with the recording). Obviously, she's not as addicted to the Internet as I am - bless her!

Just a word about her piano. It's a Seiler upright from the 1980s. It was bought second hand and it was in a terrible state. The hammers were as hard as stone. In fact, it was impossible to play musically on it. It has just been voiced by - honour to whom honour is due - master piano builder Chrsitoph Stührenberg from Bettich Piano in Ibbenbüren, Germany. It actually took him days to fix the instrument but the result is stunning. Great job.
