I have worked on the pair of BWV 874 and I´m quite satisfied now. Thanks all for the feedbacks. I have used your fingering-suggestion, Alfonso, and Chris, I have elaborated a more soft and mellow interpretation of the fugue. I also have worked very much on the (partly additional) trills in the prelude and I think, it works now.

Here are the video-links:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3UU4YzKRUM (Prelude d-major, BWV 874))

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0P0P1bNJRBA (Fugue d-major, BWV 874)

The mp3-file below is exactly the sound-track of the videos.

Bach - BWV 874 - Das Wolhtemperierte Clavier II - Prelude and Fugue No.4 in D major (9:06)

A really nice version Andreas.

It's amazing what a difference a consistent tempo can do to a performance. I didn't think the tempo changes in the original recording were that bad, but I thought they were very noticeable even by me. Yet of course, even with the consistent tempo, you have a very expressive and melodic performance filled with nice agogic, dynamics etc.

Of course, it was noticable and I didn´t intend to publish it from beginning on. I just wanted to collect some inspirations here with a first recording, which I usually don´t put on this site. But this time I thought, it could be interesting to collect some opinions and inspirations and it was, really.

Thank you for your kind comment and your constant interest in my recordings, Stan. Of course, I attend your next Bach-interpretation with interest, too.
