Hi,

This is the first time I post here. I'm not sure how this attachment thing works, so Ill post a smaller file first.

This is the sarabande from the G major Partita. The recording is from a piano exam 2 years ago. If it works as I think, Ill post the rest of the Partita and some other things.

Thanks!

Question, must I upload a biography, fotograph with this?

EDIT:

Added the Allamande and the Corrente. (My internet connection is kind of slow, so I'll add some more when theres time)

I just heard some of the other recordings on this site, and there is some pretty amazing stuff. I doubt this will get accepted here, but its always useful to get some feedback. These recordings are all live from a recital/exam 2 years ago. Because I was being examined I didn't do the repetitions and I my playing was kind of shy. I tend to play these dances in a more improvisatory fashion. There are also a few clunkers in there. (I'm not very clean when I play). All of my recent recordings are in very big files (one file to a whole recital), so I must do some editing before I post.

EDIT:

Added Tempo di Minuetta

Hi Ahmed,

Welcome and thanks for uploading.

Can you do me a favour and e-mail me this track (and any others you have) to

cbreemer@hotmail.com

so I can listen to it ? I can not play mp3 files from the site during office hours and will have no time tonight.

Eventually when you are accepted on the site we'll want a bio and photo, but let's see what we have first !

Hello Ahmed,

your upload worked, and I just listened to your take from BWV829.

I think it is beautiful played, precise and with a very good keytouch! What a pitty, that you cutted it just after the beginning of the more lively menuetto. Why not post the other parts right away? Great playing, really!

Thank you, Ill add a couple more, at least the praeludium and the tempo de minuetta as soon as I edit them out of the big file. The gigue Ill post from a different performance, because sadly, in this particular exam, everything was going alright, until I had a big memory lapse in the gigue.

I wish there was an "applaud emoticon" because that's what I did when I listened to your recordings. World class.

These are up the site. I did not attempt to correct the beginnings and endings - you may want to provide tracks which are correctly separated (take care of 1-2 seconds of silence at the beginning and end of each track). Also, you should not use VBR (variable bitrate) but a fixed bitrate between 128 and 192 kbps (these are options when you save your mp3).

I have marked your set as complete recording, anticipating your Preambulum and Gigue.

Allemande
Corrente
Sarabande
Tempo di Minuetta
Passepied

The Praembulum I'll post as soon as I have some time to look through my things for the CD and copy it to my computer. In the case of the Gigue, I dont want to post the one from that particular performance because it has a big memory lapse. The only other recording Ive got of that is a low quality video made with a cell phone camera which I will need to convert to a supported video format. I'll post it here, but I'll probably have to remember it and rerecord it again, if you want the complete set and the video is too low quality for you. (These are recordings from 2 years ago).
