Do you think this concerto is easier than the easiest Mozart Concerto? Otherwise I won't start on it.
I want to learn some more Bach in my extra time, because I'm really bad at it.
No.
Both Bach and Mozart have very exposed textures but Bach is so intricate and polyphonic that it's much harder than any Mozart imo. In Mozart you have a melody and an accompaniment which gives you something familiar to hang on to. Imagine the hardest two part invention and add imitative orchestral parts, and then the obligatory (in school anyway) memorization factor. For me Mozart is much easier, although both are very exposed.
Heh the more Bach you play the better you get at it. And Bach will be a great teacher (the best) when you are older and don't have a flesh and blood teacher. I would fill that gap in your repertoire.
