Ah yes, great work. I played through it some time ago but did not get around to serious practising yet. Having been fully occupied with the first Trio Sonata which is coming along nicely now.
But nice to see someone is interested in organ music
I've never really gotten into organ music much before, though my mom had the little preludes and fugues, I never had access to an organ, not that I could play it if I got my hands on one. Well, the feet would be the problem.
But this one is a listening assignment in my music history class, and it's been stuck in my head for a week. I sent it to Monica. I hope it grows on her like it did on me.
Weird thing is, though...my teacher gave us all a photocopied score, and the score only has two flats. It's still in C Minor, though...but all the a-flats are written as accidentals. Odd. Anyway, he analyzed it for us, counted the repetitions in the passacaglia and labeled up the fugue for us, and wrote some other odd notes on it. So, I printed up the score from IMSLP and copied his notes over to it and threw his copy away, cause I couldn't stand it.
