Piano Society has taken another step in the development of the project and now provides sheet music for the recordings on the site. We do not have everything yet but we work on it. Click on the small PDF-icon Image to the right of the recordings and the sheet will be downloaded to your browser (or maybe downloaded to your har disk depending on your local settings). You need Acrobat Reader to view the score which can be downloaded for free here.

There are several reasons why we cannot provide sheets for all the recordings. The main reason is that the scores must be in public domain. So to speak, not regulated by copyright restrictions.

Also, we do not currently plan to have a complete list of sheets for recordings that we do not have on the site. A lot of other sites do that already.

Enjoy!

Wow, you guys!!! This is really SO great. Thank-you for spending what I can only imagine must have been an inordinate amount of time to make all of this sheet music available. I look forward to reading along on the pages of the scores I don't own, while listening to the recordings.

Thanks you! But it is nothing comparing to the work of all the recordings to the site. I started the sheet project about two weeks ago...and the recording project 2 1/2 years ago ;).

Thanks to juufa, I have now completed a lot missing sheets on the site. I will edit the second post of this thread so it reflects the situation of missing sheets.

It is time for me to pay the state library where I live a visit. They have a lot old sheets there which should be in public domain.

Mr. Robert you can erase Bach's organ works. I sent you what I have. I will send you Buxtehude's pieces.

Is it possible to link some of the icons in works with more than one movement to that specific section? That would help greatly for long pieces like sonatas and concerti.

Also I had an idea. For any of the concerti sheet music on the site, you should be able to choose whether you want the one piano version, two piano version, or the full score. This is because different people would have different needs. I personally would love to play the one piano version of the 2nd movement of Rachmaninoff's 2nd concerto, but someone who has a friend who can play the piano well might want the two piano version.

I hope I haven't been to verbose, or used ideas that had already come up or were too obvious.

EDIT: If it isn't too much trouble, could both versions of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano sonata (1913 and 1931?) be put up? I think that you have the 1913 version.

I chosed to only have score up for pieces we have recordings for but I understand why you ask this (of course) and will consider to have complete set of scores for a certain opus or concerto etc.

The problem by having several versions of the score is that I do not have any space for a text that can describe what the score is about. But I will think of this too.

I actually meant individual movements of the work, not an entire opus. For example, you have all of Chopin's 2nd concerto in mp3 files on your site. What I was asking is that maybe if I clicked onto the PDF icon next to the 2nd movement, instead of taking me to the beginning of the concerto, it would take me directly to the beginning of the 2nd movement. I think that might be helpful for many people.

Ok, but unfortunately, this is a tremendous amount of work as I must edit a huge number of PDF formatted sheets (which you need special tools for to do) and split them into separate works. Take Scarlatti's +500 Sonatas for example. Sorry, but I will not do this.

The link to Moszkowski's Op. 59 seems to be mesed up. But if you actually still need a score for it, there's one available at http://www.imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Concert ... _Moritz%29

Mistake corrected (strange that my linker checker did not report on it). The link works now.
