I checked permissions and I must admit I don't get this stuff.

Indeed, non-admin users like Horowitzian and Terez don't have permission to use BBcode and Smilies etc in this forum, whereas the admins do. We did not configure that, it comes like this out of the box. I'm sure there is a reason for it.

However what throws me is

    - These users have, according to the admin panel, also no rights to even reply to a message. Yet, I see that happening here.

    - In a normal Forum like AR, it likewise says these users have no right do do anything at all. And we know that's not true as you can post here, use smilies, whatever.

Something's rotten here, or I just don't understand how it works. Maybe both :D I'm not going to spend any time on it though.

Actually in the old forum, I has set this particular forum to read-only for normal members, as it is really only meant for admins to tout their stuff. Then again there's nothing wrong with people replying so I think I'll leave it as it is now.
