Richard Anatone
I was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1985. I started playing piano at 6 years old from a neighborhood teacher, and wasn't truely classically trained until I started attending Rhode Island College in 2004, where I am currently study with Dr. Judith Stillman. Growing up my biggest influence was Nobuo Uematsu, the composer for most of the music for the Final Fantasy series (a video game series). I started taking trumpet in 5th grade, and switched over to euphonium in 9th until my sophomore year at RIC with the Wind Ensemble. Throughout high school, I participated in chorus, Variety Show, and Jazz Band playing the piano, and took solo gigs whenever the opportunity came up. I've been composing piano/large ensemble/chamber music since early high school, and have studied composition with Barbara Kolb for the last several years. I am currently seeking an undergrad in Piano Performance, and plan on going to grad school for performance and/or compositional theory.
